Game Design Document

I started my game design document earlier on this week. Unfortunately when I clicked on my link the make sure it worked I found that my work wasn't there. As a result I had to start again and rush to add information to my document. However I will add to and improve this document over the next few weeks as I develop my game.

Here is a link to my document.

  1. Hey Leslie! I Just read your game design document and previous blog posts in which you talked about the development of your game and think it sounds great! I've done a few escape rooms myself and it's really fun trying to solve the puzzles to get yourself out! I love how you want it to have elements of horror in it, I think it will make it much more tense and want the player to finish the game quicker. I was wondering if the whole game will take place in one room or will you make your way through various rooms to complete the game? Do you have any idea what will represent the player? Will there be a character the player is playing as or will the camera be a POV perspective? Something I think could be cool is if you were able to implement jump scares somewhere in the game, I think it could work great with the eerie feel you are going for. Anyways, I hope it works out well and I can't wait to play the game!

  2. Hey Leslie,

That was a very interesting read on your GDD and I really like the idea of your game. It sounds very simple but with a lot of potential. I personally like games where you have to use your head and solve certain clues to progress so I can't wait to try out your game. One question I have about the game is will there be another level to it? Or will there be a story to this level that your making? Regardless, I like the game mechanics you have and I have no doubt it will be a great game.
